Jon Johnnidis LIVE@FYI

Jon Johnnidis, LIVE@FYI host and For Your Imagination Director of Digital Media Produciton,  was born and raised in Huntington, New York to a family of musicians.  With his mother being a classically trained pianist and father lead guitar and singer in classic rock bands Silent Reign and later, Pond Scum, Jon was constantly influenced by music and the culture surrounding it.  As his appreciation for it grew, so did his desire to make music a part of his everyday life.  Shortly after college, Jon moved into New York City and began working for MTV  Networks as a producer on a variety of music based shows.

Enthusiastically jumping onto the scene, Jon began shooting live performances all over the country as well as interviewing and working with a variety of high level musical talent gaining experience, exposure, and an even deeper understanding of the music world.  Some of his more memorable "behind the camera" interviews include Dave Grohl, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, Stevie Wonder, Slash, The Beastie Boys, Pantera, Ozzy Osbourne, and many more.  Shortly after joining For Your Imagination, Jon had the opportunity to shoot and direct singer/songwriter Josh Kelley's video for "Unfair," the first single off his latest album "Special Company," in the For Your Imagination studio in NYC.  The success of the video and how great Josh sounded during the taping was the initial spark behind creating the original web series, LIVE@FYI.

With a talented production team behind him and some of the best independent and small label acts throughout the city and beyond, Jon has jumped in front of the camera to deliver not only incredible live music and audience interaction with their favorite artists, but an insightful look at some budding bands and musicians.
